Kelvinhaugh Gate

So, once again, another short post (I'm still in Maryland) but still exciting news! I know where I'm going to be living in Scotland!

I will be living in a suite in Kelvinhaugh Gate. It appears that this dorm is meant for graduate students, so that should be interesting. The next step is to apply to move in early for orientation. I think I'm going to request to move in on September 4th so I have some time before orientation begins on the 6th.

Is this real life?

This will be a short entry because I have to go to Geometry in ten minutes but since I don't want to do work, I figured I'd go ahead and start this blog.

Anyone reading this blog knows that I'm going to/on my way to/already in Scotland (depending on when you're reading this, obviously). As excited as I am to be by myself in a new country and figure it out on my own, I'm also terrified (surprise surprise). As of now, I don't know where I will be living, where I will be eating/getting my food, when I will be leaving Boston, if I'll have a cell phone, if I'll be able to watch TV/listen to music, who I will meet etc. My hope is that over the course of the summer, these pieces will begin to fall into place and this will all start to seem more real and a little less intimidating. Fingers crossed!
